🧠 About Me

I am a PhD student in Information Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), advised by Prof. Catherine Blake (UIUC), co-advised by Prof. Halil Kilicoglu (UIUC) and Dr. Joel Mainland (UPenn, Monell), and a member of the UIUC NLP research group. My expected graduation is June 2028.

My research is at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Natural Language Processing (NLP), Biomedical Informatics, and Multimodal Deep Learning. I specialize in applying large language models (LLMs) and representation learning to scientific and health-related domains, particularly smell and taste (chemosensory) perception, biomedical text mining, and AI for Science.

I hold a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science (MSLS) from Pennsylvania Western University and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from The Evergreen State College.
