🧠 About Me

Hello! I am a PhD student in Information Sciences at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), advised by Prof. Catherine Blake (UIUC), co-advised by Prof. Halil Kilicoglu (UIUC) and Dr. Joel Mainland (Monell, UPenn). I am a member of the UIUC NLP research group, where I explore olfaction, information extraction, and molecular property prediction! My expected graduation is June 2028.

My research bridges artificial intelligence (AI), natural language processing (NLP), and molecular representations to develop machine learning methods for scientific applications. I am particularly passionate about advancing knowledge discovery in biomedicine, chemistry, neuroscience, and chemosensory science using Large Language Models (LLMs) and multi-modal AI.

Previously, I earned my Master’s in Library and Information Science from Clarion University of Pennsylvania (now PennWest, Clarion), completing my field experience at the Monell Chemical Senses Center. I hold a Bachelor’s in Computer Science from The Evergreen State College, where I focused on database design. Before my PhD, I worked as a Data Analyst at Monell and co-ran the Maker Space at the Free Library of Philadelphia, leading robotics and programming workshops.
